Could Yeast Overgrowth Be Causing Your Health Problems?
Millions of bacteria reside in the gastrointestinal tract of healthy individuals. A large percentage of these bacteria are beneficial organisms (microflora) that keep the bowel functioning normally, and discourage the overgrowth of Candida albicans yeast and other undesirable bacteria and fungi.
Candida has the ability to change in order to escape the effect of single drug therapy. Factors that can contribute to candida overgrowth include decreased digestive secretions, impaired immunity, nutrient deficiency, diabetes, impaired liver function, many prescription drugs (especially antibiotics and steroids such as estrogen progesterone and cortisone), and poor diet (i.e. high intake of refined sugar/carbohydrates, dairy products, and mold and yeast-containing foods, including alcoholic beverages, bread, cheeses, dried fruits, mushrooms and peanuts).
A wide variety of symptoms affecting the body have been attributed to candida overgrowth, with typical symptoms including allergies (i.e. nasal congestion, sinus problems, skin problems – including skin rashes, chemical sensitivities, depression, inability to concentrate, hyperactivity, gastrointestinal problems such as (i.e. abdominal pain, belching, bloating, constipation, diarrhea, gas, heartburn, indigestion), fatigue, headaches, poor immune function, respiratory tract symptoms and symptoms involving the urinary tract and a general sense of “feeling sick all over.”
Although candida albicans has been singled out, there is a whole range of yeasts, molds and fungi which are potentially just as damaging on our immune system.
Nature’s Sunshine Yeast/Fungal Detox is formulated with ingredients that help discourage yeast and fungus overgrowth and support the immune system that can be weakened due to yeast overgrowth, promotes liver health, and detoxification of other pathogenic fungi - critical factors in the successful treatment of yeast and fungal overgrowth.
Suggested Usage
The recommended dose is one capsule with a meal twice daily. However, higher doses can be taken (up to six capsules a day) when the problem is severe. It is always best to go slowly when trying to eliminate yeast from the system, as a too-rapid die-off of yeast can cause uncomfortable symptoms such as headaches and diarrhea.
It is also wise to eliminate or reduce the consumption of simple sugars and refined carbohydrates when trying to get yeast overgrowth under control, as yeast feed on simple sugars.
